First Exhibition by Emerging Young Artist : Khaled

IMG_20130723_234624     Khaled is a 16 years old, young adult who loves to use thick paint and thick brushes to create vibrant and bold strokes on a canvas. When he paints it is almost like he is interacting with the world around him, like he is telling his story boldly and without any hesitation. He never leaves even a centimeter of space on the canvas untouched by his paint.. almost saying there are no blanks in his story! Khaled has Autism, he attends Future Centre for Special Needs in Abu Dhabi.

For the first time, Khaled’s paintings have been exhibited at Abu Dhabi Art Hub! Thanks to the caring staff and owner of Abu Dhabi Art Hub, Khaled has not only been given a chance to exhibit his work, but more importantly a peaceful, quiet and accepting space where he can go and paint.

When observed in the Art Hub, Khaled always seems relaxed and cheerful. He has returned to his hobby of painting after he started visiting Abu Dhabi Art Hub. Khaled’s parents look forward to him creating more paintings and in the process expressing himself more.

Please do encourage this young artist by visiting the Abu Dhabi Art Hub this Ramadan. Information of his future exhibitions will be posted here.

  1. I would sincerely like to hear your thoughts about the kind gesture that Abu Dhabi Art Hub has displayed for Khaled and your suggestions regarding how we can encourage Khaled’s paintings to become more popular?

  2. Kassie Rose says:

I would like to see this happen more throughout the world. Art is such an amazing way to express one’s self and their interaction with the world. Thank you to Abu Dhabi Art Hub for taking a step towards a beauty that will hopefully encourage the world in the right direction.

  3. This is a noble gesture. I would like to know how you can introduce painting to ASD children.
